Moist Chocolate Cake
The chocolate cake is a celebrity by itself in the world of baking.
It can be simple and classic or modified to fit the newest culinary trends. This is a classic chocolate cake recipe with a vegan twist! This chocolate cake is simple to make but difficult to resist.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
- 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 3 tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup jaggery
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate soy milk
(or coconut milk if you prefer)
-Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (or 350 F) and prepare a 30cm square baking pan with greaseproof paper.
-Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix the jaggery, essence and add the soy milk and vinegar. Stir this into the dry ingredients gradually and mix well. Bake this for 30 minutes.
-You can also make muffins with this mixture, but bake for only 20 minutes.
